After working at The Savoy for 13 years as PA to the General Manager, when Fairmont Group took over the hotel in 2005, she had the chance to do a presentation on how to ‘green’ the hotel, which led to her promotion as Green Team Champion, which as well as recycling 90% of waste, she has seen the introduction of a ‘Green Butler’ to advise guests on the best eco experiences in London and becoming a partner of Thames21 to keep the river clean.

Galen Ayers
Galen Ayers is a NGO consultant, freelance psychologist in London, as well as being a recording Musician, Writer and Artist. Galen's further education of an MA in Buddhism at SOAS and then another MA in Psychology of Religion culminated in her thesis based on a Rwandan Genocide survivor. Her passion and ability for her subject eventually led to the achievement of helping to reframe her subject's 'Survival Guilt Complex' to one of 'Hope'. This led the subject to go back to her hometown in the Congo and film a documentary exposing the tragic use of 'Rape as a Weapon of War'. This video was heavily circulated by the Guardian Newspaper and raised extensive awareness - This experience humbled Galen and then led her to become completely convinced that one person can truly make a difference. Currently Galen has just completed a certificate as a practitioner of NLP and TLT trauma therapy. She works in London and volunteers wherever she may be needed. She is also actively involved worldwide in combining music, blogs and events to promote charities such as Centrepoint and eco-fashion.

Gav Lawson
After his brother investigated the planet saving benefits of hemp Gav wanted to set up an ethical company offering this product and THTC was born, fusing cutting edge designs and environmentally friendly clothes. Through THTC he supports organic farming, reduces agricultural chemical use and saves water.
